Marshall Excited About Classy MLJet
South African trainer Vaughan Marshall is planning an ambitious campaign for his exciting 3YO MLjet (Jet Master-Subyan Dreams, by Spectrum) who is now back in Cape Town, reports goldcircle.co.za. Marshall said: "He is going to run in the Selangor Cup at Kenilworth on 22 November although the Cape Classic (25 October) is an option. I would like to give him two races because straight after the Cape Guineas (20 December) he goes to Jo'burg to be prepared for the Triple Crown." The Jet Master colt won his first two starts at Clairwood in impressive fashion before finishing an unlucky third behind Harry's Son in the Gr1 Premier's Champion Stakes at Greyville (beaten a neck). The strength of the form surrounding MLjet is underscored by the fact that the Australian-bred Harry's Son was crowned Champion 2YO colt at the recent Equus Awards in South Africa. From the Spectrum mare Subyan Dreams, MLjet is a half-brother to dual Gr1-placegetter Felix The Cat.
