Rail Link To Stand In France

Wednesday, 27th August 2014

Khalid Abdullah's 2006 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe winner Rail Link (Dansili-Docklands, by Theatrical) has been sold to Haras de Cercy in France, reports bloodhorse.com. From four crops, the 11YO stallion has sired 60 per cent winners to starters with his top offspring including group winners Bugie d'Amore, Last Train, Sediciosa, and exciting Australian-based entire Spillway. Now in the care of David Hayes, Spillway looks set for a profitable spring campaign after finishing runner-up in the Gr2 PB Lawrence Stakes at Caulfield at his most recent start. "We are delighted that Rail Link will be going to Haras de Cercy and will now have an excellent opportunity to continue a successful career at stud under the very experienced and much-respected Jacques Cypres," Juddmonte general manager Philip Mitchell said.
