Toronado Off To Flying Start

Monday, 2nd March 2015

Toronado's (High Chaparral-Wana Doo, by Grand Slam) stud career is off to a perfect start with the first five mares covered by the top-class miler all scanned in foal, reports bloodstock.racingpost.com. The dual Gr1 winner of the Sussex Stakes & Queen Anne Stakes, whose rivalry with 2,000 Guineas hero Dawn Approach provided one of the highlights of 2013, is standing his first season at the National Stud. Among the mares confirmed in foal are Sinana, a Sinndar daughter of Gr2 winner Ana Marie, and Isabel Louis, a Distorted Humor half-sister to Gr3 winner and Grand Prix de Paris third Magadan, a son of Toronado's sire High Chaparral. Toronado is standing the 2015 season for a fee of £15,000.
