First Mares In Foal For Kingman
The first four mares covered by champion miler Kingman have been scanned in foal, including Danehill mare Kind, dam of the world's highest-ever rated racehorse Frankel, reports bloodstock.racingpost.com. The identities of the other mares have not been disclosed. A dual Listed-winning sprinter for Khalid Abdullah, Kind has proven to be an exceptional broodmare, producing five winners, four of whom are stakes winners: the unbeaten ten-time Gr1 winner Frankel, dual Gr1 scorer Noble Mission, Gr3 winner Bullet Train, who stands at Bowness Stud in NSW, and Listed Cecil Frail Stakes winner Joyeuse. The outstanding Kingman (Invincible Spirit-Zenda, by Zamindar), who retired in October after a stellar season that yielded four Gr1 victories in the Irish 2,000 Guineas, St James's Palace Stakes, Sussex Stakes and Prix Jacques le Marois, as well as Cartier Horse of the Year honours, began his first season at stud two weeks ago at owner-breeder Khalid Abdullah's Banstead Manor Stud near Newmarket. His 2015 service fee is £55,000.
