Platinum In Good Order

Wednesday, 4th March 2015

Platinum Witness (California Dane-Chartreuse, by St. Petersburg) pulled up well after a successful classic dress rehearsal at Hastings on the weekend, reports NZ Racing Desk. Trainer Lisa Latta said the Gr1-winning filly was in top shape following her dead-heat victory with Savaria in the Gr3 Lowland Stakes on Saturday, and doesn't believe the distance of the Gr1 New Zealand Oaks will be an issue. "I couldn't be happier with her and I'm not concerned with the 2400 metres," Latta said. "She was left a sitting duck the other day – Darryl (jockey Darryl Bradley) had to peel out when he did, otherwise he would have got dragged back." The Gr1 New Zealand Oaks will be run at Trentham on 14 March.
