Disposition To Miss Guineas

Thursday, 5th March 2015

West Australian colt Disposition (Reset-Test Case, by Testa Rossa) will miss Saturday's Gr1 Australian Guineas after injuring himself at trackwork yesterday morning, reports racingnetwork.com.au. The Bob Peters-owned 3YO, who made an encouraging Eastern state debut when runner-up to Wandjina in the Gr3 CS Hayes Stakes at Flemington two weeks ago, slipped and scraped some skin off his near hind leg at trainer Wez Hunter's Pinecliff training base. "Who would be a horse trainer," Hunter said. "The main thing is that the horse will be okay, but he will need treatment for the next week or so. I'm used to dealing with all sort of disappointments, it's not the end of the world, but I do feel for Bob Peters who sent him over here for this race." Hunter added, "His work yesterday was brilliant. I thought he was going to be really hard to beat on Saturday...but life goes on." A homebred for prominent WA owners and breeders Bob and Sandra Peters, Disposition has displayed well above average ability in his short career to date, winning 4 of his 7 starts, including the Listed Belgravia and Fairetha Stakes', as well as finishing runner-up in the Gr1 Kingston Town Classic.
