Jameka Wins Gr2 Sires' Produce Stakes

At Flemington in Melbourne, Vinery's Gr1-winning stallion Myboycharlie (Danetime-Dulceata, by Rousillon) added a Group success when 2YO filly Jameka (Myboycharlie-Mine Game, by General Nediym) scored by 1-length for trainer Ciaron Maher in the $200,000 Gr2 Sires' Produce Stakes (1400m) for 2YOs, over fellow 2YO filly Lazumba (Sebring-Tantalized, by Octagonal) & 2YO colt Sampeah (Exceed and Excel-Greeting, by Canny Lad). This was the first stakes victory for Jameka who took her record to 1 win and 2 placings from 4 starts for $161,675 earnings. Jameka, who is out of a half-sister to Gr1 Canterbury Guineas winner Jymcarew, was purchased by her trainer Ciaron Maher for $130,000 at the 2014 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale form the draft of Gilgai Farm.
