At Moonee Valley in Melbourne, Widden Stud's dual Gr1-winning sire Nicconi (Bianconi-Nicola Lass, by Scenic) celebrated his first stakes winner when 3YO colt Chill Party (Nicconi-Dressed to Impress, by Turtle Island) scored by 0.1-length for trainer Tom Hughes in the $200,000 Gr2 Alister Clark Stakes (2040m) for 3YOs, over fellow 3YO colt Stratum Star (Stratum-Purely Spectacular, by Pins) & 3YO filly Maastricht (Mastercraftsman-Cat Shmea, by Felix the Cat). Chill Party, who was a $60,000 purchase by Baree Pastoral at the 2013 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale from the daft of Three Bridges Thoroughbreds, took his record to 4 wins and 1 placing from 11 starts for $195,075 earnings.
