Pace Blamed For Silent Achiever Defeat

Tuesday, 24th March 2015

Silent Achiever (O'Reilly-Winning Spree, by Zabeel) was brought undone by the tempo of Saturday's Gr1 Ranvet Stakes, according to jockey Kerrin McEvoy, reports NZ Racing Desk. "It just turned into a little bit of a dash home and they just outpaced her, but I think Roger (James) will push onto the BMW," he said. McEvoy will again ride the New Zealand mare in next Saturday's Gr1 BMW at Rosehill, the same race she beat Dundeel and Fiorente in last year. James said Silent Achiever had come through her Ranvet fourth placing well and would back up this weekend.
