Tavistock Fee Set

Wednesday, 25th March 2015

Sir Patrick Hogan announced yesterday that his exciting young stallion Tavistock (Montjeu-Upstage, by Quest For Fame) will stand at a fee of NZ$15,000 + gst (with live foal guarantee) for the upcoming 2015 breeding season. "I've had input about the fee from the Tavistock Syndicate Management Committee in the last week and have also taken into consideration the Group One victory by Volkstok'n'barrel in the Rosehill Guineas," Sir Patrick said. Tavistock currently leads the New Zealand Second Season Sires' Premiership, sits second on the 3YO Stallion Premiership, and has 8 Stakes Performers from his first crop runners. The dual Gr1 winning son of Montjeu also boasts an impressive strike rate of 9.41% Stakes Performers to first crop foals. "The interest in nominations is already heavy and we're expecting even more interest off the back of this announcement," added Hogan. The announcement of fees for fellow Cambridge Stud stallions Keeper, Burgundy and Power will be made next week.
