Delicacy Wins Gr3 WA Oaks

At Ascot in West Australia, Emirates Park Stud's Gr1-winning stallion Al Maher (Danehill-Show Dancing, by Don't Say Halo) added a Group success when 3YO filly Delicacy (Al Maher-Simply Wicked, by Scenic) scored by 2.5-lengths for trainer Grant Williams in the $250,000 Gr3 WA Oaks (2400m) for 3YO fillies, over fellow fillies Spectacular Vision (Mastercraftsman-Miss Krisdel, by Spectatorial) & Keysbrook (So Secret-Interlagos, by Quest for Fame). A homebred for prominent WA owner and breeder Bob Peters, Delicacy took her record to 7 wins (including the Gr3 WA Champion Fillies Stakes, Listed Natasha Stakes & Listed Ascot 1000 Guineas) and 3 placings (the Listed WATC Burgess Queen Stakes) from 11 starts for $608,000 earnings. Delicacy will now go the WATC Derby (2400m) in a fortnight.
