First Foal For Akeed Mofeed

Monday, 3rd August 2015

The first foal of former Hong Kong star Akeed Mofeed (Dubawi-Wonder Why, by Tiger Hill) was born at Goldin Farms, formerly Lindsay Park Stud, in South Australia on Thursday, reports Breednet. Stud manager Andrew Perryman reported that the bay colt out of Gr3-placed Testa Rossa mare Gossip Girl arrived at 7.30pm on Thursday night and that "both mare and foal are doing well". He added: "The colt is a bay with one white sock on a hind pastern and a small star on his head. He is an athletic type with a good head and eye and a great deal of quality." Akeed Mofeed was a top European Group performer at two and three before establishing himself as one of the best horses in Hong Kong when winning the 2013 Gr1 Hong Kong Cup where he defeated French star Cirrus des Aigles among others. The strapping son of world-class sire Dubawi stands at Goldin Farms at a fee of $16,500.
