O'Brien Hoping Rain Stays Away

Thursday, 13th August 2015

Trainer Aidan O'Brien says he is hoping for good ground at York as he prepares Gleneagles for the Gr1 Juddmonte International on Wednesday, reports Sky Sports. The inclusion of dual classic winner Gleneagles sets up an intriguing clash with John Gosden's unbeaten superstar Golden Horn but the former needs firm ground to show his best. "I'm delighted the lads have agreed to let him take his chance and we'll learn a lot about him," O'Brien said. "Hopefully they won't get too much rain and I'd love to go if it's good to firm."
