Gold Symphony Wins Gr3 Vain Stakes

At Caulfield in Melbourne, Chatswood Stud's Gr1 Blue Diamond Stakes winning stallion Reward For Effort (Exceed And Excel-Miss Prospect, by Rory's Jester) celebrated his first stakes winner when 3YO colt Gold Symphony (Reward for Effort-Tzaress, by Stravinsky) scored by 0.4-length for trainer Peter Moody in the $150,000 Gr3 Vain Stakes (1100m) for 3YO c&g, over 3YO geldings Top Me Up (Exceed and Excel-De Groove, by Dehere) & Star Planet (Lonhro-Star Rose, by Filante). Gold Symphony, who hails from the same female line as Golden Slipper winner Belle Du Jour, is raced by Triple Crown Syndications who purchased him for $100,000 at the 2014 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale from the draft of Grange Thoroughbreds.
