Most Wanted Sold To Hong Kong

Thursday, 20th August 2015

Impressive debut winner Most Wanted will continue his racing career in Hong Kong afterall, reports sky racing. The 3YO gelding was close to being sold to Hong Kong prior to his first start on 8 August, resulting in him being scratched on two occasions. However, the deal fell through at the last moment and he remained in the care of trainer John Sadler who prepared him to win first-up over 1400m at Flemington "He has now been sold. He'll go the stable of Richard Gibson in Hong Kong," Sadler told Melbourne radio station RSN yesterday. "The owner was offered good money for him prior to him racing off the back of an all weather trial and then he went to Flemington and was able to win and obviously his price went up considerably after that win." He added: "I think it was a different owner but the same trainer and the deal was completed yesterday [Tuesday]." Sadler said that while it was disappointing to lose such a talented horse form his stable, he knows the next good horse is just around the corner. "We'll go through another 50 horses to try and find one as good as him, but we'll enjoy that challenge," he said.
