Canford Cliffs First Crop Setting A Cracking Pace

Friday, 21st August 2015

With emerging young Blue Gum Farm shuttler Canford Cliffs (Tagula-Mrs Marsh, by Marju) about to embark on a new Southern Hemisphere breeding season, the first progeny of the European Champion Miler have set a cracking pace in Europe. To August 19, his Northern Hemisphere first crop is already responsible for 21 individual winners of 27 races. Among that brigade there are currently four stakes performers, headed by Gr2 Railway Stakes winner Painted Cliffs (also 4th in the Gr1 Phoenix Stakes at The Curragh) and Gr3 Grangecon Stud Stakes winner Most Beautiful. Actoria won the Listed Six Perfections Stakes at Deauville, and Bournemouth Belle was stakes-placed in the Listed Empress Stakes at Newmarket. The results augur very well for Canford Cliffs' first Australian-bred foals which will make their 2YO debuts this season. Canford Cliffs' Gr1 Irish 2000 Guineas win is below.
