Kings Creek Welcome Monaco Consul & Salade

Thursday, 27th August 2015

Promising young sires Monaco Consul and Salade have relocated to Kings Creek for the upcoming breeding season. Monaco Consul (High Chaparral-Argante, by Star Way), a two-time Gr1 winner of the Spring Champion Stakes and Victoria Derby, has got off to a great start at stud with 4 winners from just 12 runners to date, including promising Queensland filly Honesta who is being set for the Gr1 Flight Stakes in Sydney. Standing at $8,800, this is a very un-commercial service fee for a stallion that is about to become very commercial. By the all conquering Snitzel out of a stakes placed Beautiful Crown mare Just As Beautiful, the talented Salade burst onto the scene with a brilliant debut victory in the Gr2 Pago Pago Stakes as a 2YO before a tendon injury shortly thereafter put an end to his promising career. At a bargain price of $4,400, Salade is the most affordable son of Snitzel standing anywhere in the country.
