Verrazano Adds To Outcross Options
The deeds of Sebring (by More Than Ready) at stud have given Australian breeders another high-class alternative to Danehill line stallions which dominate the sire landscape. In his first three crops of racing age Sebring has amassed 14 stakes winners and finished third in Australia's overall stallion rankings by earnings last season. In doing so, he has elevated his sire More Than Ready into the genuine sire-of-sires realm. In 2015, Australian breeders will have have access to More Than Ready's highest rated son ever – Verrazano. Shuttling to Coolmore Australia for the first time this year, his dominant racetrack performances were epitomised in his 9.25-length Haskell Invitational conquest, a race that American Pharoah was victorious in this year. With a striking presence, strongly evident at the rain-interrupted stallion parades, and a higher Timeform rating than Sebring, Verrazano's debut fee is an enticing $13,750.
