Quiet Path To Classic For Let Her Rip

Thursday, 3rd September 2015

Talented New Zealand filly Let Her Rip (Rip Van Winkle-Keeper Special, by Keeper) will go into the Gr1 New Zealand 1,000 Guineas on a lighter preparation than most, reports NZ Racing Desk. "She won't race until early October and she will probably have one run before the Soliloquy Stakes and then we'll head down to Riccarton," trainer Shaune Ritchie said. "She didn't really spell as well as I would have liked and had a bit of a hoof infection, but she's picking up now." Let Her Rip won one of her two starts at home last season before finishing fifth in the Listed Anzac Day Stakes on a slow track at Flemington, where she was caught in the worst part of the track on the fence.
