Australian Sires Premiership Update

After five weeks of the 2015-16 racing season, Coolmore's incumbent Champion Australian Sire Fastnet Rock is out in front on the national sires leader board with progeny earnings of $825,400. Occupying second position is Darley's World Champion Miler Lonhro with $741,363, while Arrowfield's three-time champion sire Redoute's Choice is not far off the pace in third with earnings thus far of $708,461. Meanwhile, AP Indy's son Bernardini has forced his way into the Top Ten courtesy of Boban's victory in last Saturday's Gr1 Memsie Stakes in Melbourne. The Top Ten stallion rankings (according to arion.co.nz as at 3 September) are:

1. Fastnet Rock (Danehill) - $825,400

2. Lonhro (Octagonal) - $741,363

3. Redoute's Choice (Danehill) - $708,461

4. Choisir (Danehill Dancer) - $680,593

5. More Than Ready (Southern Image) - $663,796
