Melbourne Beckons Hasselhoof

Wednesday, 9th September 2015

Meanwhile, a trip to Australia will be on the line for undefeated Kiwi galloper Hasselhoof (Tavistock-Alpine, by Zabeel) on his home track on Saturday, reports NZ Racing Desk. The exciting son of Tavistock, who has won all three of his starts to date, will step up to 2100m for the first time in a benchmark 85 race at Ruakaka on Saturday and another impressive display will see him earn a shot on the undercard on Gr1 Underwood Stakes day at Caulfield on September 26. "I've been very happy with his work and he has indicated he will get over more ground," co-trainer Donna Logan said. Logan holds Hasselhoof in such high regard that she has previously stated that she believes he can develop into a Melbourne Cup horse in time.
