Treve In Great Order Ahead Of Weekend Return

Wednesday, 9th September 2015

Back-to-back Gr1 Arc heroine Treve appears to be in outstanding order ahead of next weekend's Gr1 Prix Vermeilles assignment. According to turftrax.com, the champion mare "came through a Tuesday morning gallop with flying colours" for trainer Criquette Head-Maarek at Chantilly. Put back into work by her new owner Sheikh Joaan after initially being retired following her second Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe victory, Treve is on a quest to become the first ever triple winner of France's major weight-for-age contest. Her Prix Vermeilles path is similar to that taken before her inaugural Arc tilt two years ago. In her her most recent start in June, Treve won the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud. Among Treve's likely opposition in October are a number of stars that will clash in this weekend's Gr1 Irish Champion Stakes, a race Head-Maarek is keeping a close eye on.
