Darci Brahma Filly For Seachange

Thursday, 10th September 2015

Former champion New Zealand mare Seachange (Cape Cross-Just Cruising, by Broad Reach) has given birth to a filly by The Oaks Stud's resident stallion Darci Brahma, reports theinformant.co.nz. The Oaks Stud confirmed the news on its website yesterday. "The Oaks Stud is pleased to announce that champion racemare Seachange has foaled a big, strong Darci Brahma filly at Coolmore Stud in Australia," the stud said. "Seachange will visit Fastnet Rock this season." Seachange, who won seven Gr1 races including the Stoney Bridge Stakes twice, has hitherto produced one foal to race for one winner. Four-year-old Zabeel gelding Divan won over 1400m and was also placed in the Listed Anzac Day Stakes in April last year. Her only other foal is an unraced 6YO full-brother to Divan named Thornton, who was purchased by Lloyd Williams for $500,000 at Karaka in 2011.
