Turn Me Loose Thriving Ahead Of Hastings

Thursday, 10th September 2015

Co-trainer Andrew Forsman says that Turn Me Loose (Iffraaj-Indomitable, by Danehill) has thrived since his first-up run in the Gr1 Makfi Challenge Stakes (1400m) at Hastings 12 days ago, reports theinformant.co.nz. The New Zealand 2,000 Guineas winner resumed with an encouraging sixth behind Kawi in the 1400m feature, and Forsman says he will strip a much fitter horse leading into the second leg of the Hawkes Bay Triple Crown, the Gr1 Windsor Park Plate (1600m) on Saturday week. "He's doing great, he's really good," Forsman said. "He's trained on very well since the Makfi and has improved a lot. He'll strip a lot fitter for the Windsor Park Plate at Hastings next Saturday." Turn Me Loose is currently the $6 second favourite for the Windsor Park Plate behind the Allan Sharrock-trained Kawi at $2.20.
