Minding Wins Gr1 Moyglare Stud Stakes

Monday, 14th September 2015

At the Curragh in Ireland, former Coolmore shuttler and triple Gr1-winning champion European sire Galileo (Sadler's Wells-Urban Sea, by Miswaki) celebrated a Gr1 trifecta when 2YO filly Minding (Galileo-Lillie Langtry, by Danehill Dancer) scored by 0.75-length for trainer Aidan O'Brien in the Gr1 Moyglare Stud Stakes (7 furlongs) for 2YO fillies, over fellow fillies and stable-mates Ballydoyle (Galileo-Butterfly Cove, by Storm Cat) & Alice Springs (Galileo-Aleagueoftheirown, by Danehill Dancer). This was the first Gr1 victory for Minding who took her record to 2 wins from 4 starts for €209,875 earnings. "They are three smart fillies and we knew that coming here," O'Brien told Racing Post. "Minding is the filly that had the break so you'd like to think that she could run again this season. She might go for the Fillies Mile or something like that maybe."
