At Royal Randwick in Sydney, Cambridge Stud's retired Champion sire Zabeel (Sir Tristram-Lady Giselle, by Nureyev) added a Group success when 4YO entire Preferment (Zabeel-Better Alternative, by Flying Spur) scored by 0.2-length for trainer Chris Waller in the $200,000 Gr2 Hill Stakes (2000m) for 3YO+, over 6YO Irish-bred gelding Magic Hurricane (Hurricane Run-Close Regards, by Danehill) & 5YO entire Complacent (Authorized-Insouciance, by Quest for Fame). Preferment, who was purchased by Chris Waller Racing for $190,000 at the 2013 NZ Bloodstock Premier Yearling Sale from the draft of Cambridge Stud, took his record to 2 wins (including the Gr1 Victoria Derby) and 5 placings (including the Gr1 Rosehill Guineas & Listed Geelong Classic) from 13 starts for $1,200,905 earnings.
