Campbell Sweet On Gloaming

Wednesday, 23rd September 2015

Well related New Zealand 3YO Gobstopper (Tavistock-Bagalollies, by Zabeel) has been nominated for the Gr3 Gloaming Stakes (1800m) at Rosehill on Saturday, reports NZ Racing Desk. The Tavistock gelding, who departed for Sydney on Monday, is trained by Andrew Campbell and is a brother to dual Gr2 winner and dual Gr1-placegetter Werther. Gobstopper ran fourth at his only start as juvenile and finished a close-up sixth when resuming in the Listed Wanganui Guineas earlier this month. Only 14 horses were nominated for the Gloaming with the highest rated runner being Devil Hawk, a brother to Hawkspur and winner of the Gr3 Spring Stakes at Newcastle last Friday.
