Moment Of Change Close To Comeback

Wednesday, 23rd September 2015

Multiple Gr1 winner Moment Of Change (Barely a Moment-Europium, by Metal Storm) took another step towards his comeback to racing with a jump-out at Caulfield yesterday, reports Racenet. The 7YO son of Barely A Moment nearly died when suffering a colic attack in February, but he showed he was close to race fitness when finishing second to stable-mate Mirage in an 800m hit-out in 49.12 seconds. "It was only his first trial so he's going really well," said jockey Vlad Duric. "I only rode him a few times before his injury but he seems to have come back just as well." Trainer Peter Moody said he would give Moment Of Change one more trial before deciding where to kick-off his spring campaign. Moment Of Change has won 7 of his 28 starts hitherto for over $1.6 million prize money. His three Gr1 victories have been in the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes, CF Orr Stakes, and the Futurity Stakes.
