Take Pride Wins Gr3 TBV Breeders Stakes

At Moonee Valley in Melbourne on Friday night, Chatswood Stud's Gr1 Blue Diamond Stakes winning stallion Reward For Effort (Exceed And Excel-Miss Prospect, by Rory's Jester) added a Group success when 3YO filly Take Pride (Reward for Effort-Shabtis, by Elusive Quality) scored a 3-length victory for trainer Murray Johnson in the $150,000 Gr3 TBV Breeders Stakes (1200m) for 3YO fillies, over fellow fillies Secret Agenda (Not a Single Doubt-Negotiate, by Red Ransom) & Serenade (Star Witness-Purely Spectacular, by Pins). Passed in for $18,000 as a weanling by Eldon Park Stud at the 2013 Inglis Geeat Southern Sale in Melbourne, and subsequently a $94,000 yearling consigned by Eldon Park at the 2014 Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale, Take Pride's first stakes victory took her record to 3 wins & 2 placings (including the Listed Cap d'Antibes Stakes at her last start & Listed Talindert Stakes) from 8 starts for $234,550 earnings.
