Buffering Heads Moir Stakes Entries

Tuesday, 29th September 2015

Queensland trainer Robert Heathcote has provided an update on star sprinter Buffering (Mossman-Action Annie, by Anabaa) who will bid to defend his title in Friday night's Gr1 Moir Stakes (1000m) at Moonee Valley. Buffering is one of 20 horses nominated for the $450,000 sprint feature, with Gr1 winning siblings Terravista and Tiger Tees, Gr1 Goodwood winner Flamberge, classy filly Fontiton, and Ciaron Maher's brilliant unbeaten filly Petits Filous, among the other notable entries. "The old fella doesn't know that he is eight and he has that cheeky attitude and he is bouncing off the track every morning," Heathcote told Melbourne's Radio Sport National. "His coat has really shifted in the last couple of weeks and he is going to present in great order." Buffering will be shooting for his third Moir Stakes title, after winning in 2014 and also in 2012 when it held Gr2 status. Click here to view all Moonee Valley nominations.
