Karaka Million Runner-Up Sold To Australia

Tuesday, 1st March 2016

Leviathan Perth owner Bob Peters has purchased one of the most promising juvenile fillies in training in New Zealand. According to NZ Racing Desk, the Lisa Latta-trained Showmeyamoneyhoney will get to test the vocal skills of silky WA race-caller Darren McCauley. Originally a NZ$31,000 yearling at the 2015 NZB National Yearling Sale, Showmeyamoneyhoney (Showcasing) went into the Restricted Karaka Million (1200m) at Ellerslie following three consecutive placings, and while she is yet to break her Maiden, her runner-up to undefeated boom colt Xiong Feng in the major NZB juvenile feature, enticed Peters to snap her up for an undisclosed sum. Peters also previously purchased Dizzies Dream following her third placing in the Gr1 NZ 1,000 Guineas.
