Bargain Buys Tackle Bluebloods At The Farm

Wednesday, 2nd March 2016

At today's Warwick Farm meeting, two of the least expensive weanlings or yearlings of the last two years will tackle a quartet of six figure juveniles. In the day's opening event over 1200m, the well named Let's Dream Big ($3,750) and Rather Sweet ($9,500) go head to head with trial winner Kunmig ($220,000), Rock and Swing ($600,000), Gravitate ($240,000) and Bella Vino ($155,000). While Let's Dream Big is on debut, Rather Sweet has already had two runner-up finishes from five starts, plus a close up 4th in the Gr2 Silver Slipper at her last start. The winner might, however, come from none of them: never offered for sale is the beautifully bred Godolphin filly Wine. By their high-flying sire Street Cry, the Godolphin home-bred is out of the Gr1-winning Commands mare Purple. Race time is 2.15pm.
