Lady Eli Completes Successful First Track Work

Wednesday, 2nd March 2016

Undefeated US Champion Filly Lady Eli (Divine Park-Sacre Coeur, by Saint Ballado) completed her first track work yesterday on her recovery path following a potentially career-ending injury from laminitis in the middle of last year. According to bloodhorse.com, Lady Eli had a 3 furlong breeze in the slowest of 10 times for the morning at Palm Meadows Training Track in Florida. Lady Eli's laminitis occurred as a result of her stepping on a nail after her victory in last July's Gr1 Belmont Oaks Invitational Stakes. Also the winner of the Gr1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf, Lady Eli's 6 from 6 record has netted her connections US$1,449,800.
