Moody Unveils Valuable Colt At Flemington

The second highest priced yearling from 2015's Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale faces the starter for the first time tomorrow in the Listed Festival Of Racing Stakes (1000m) down the straight five at Flemington. Trained by Peter Moody, and named Alter Call the beautifully bred 2YO Fastnet Rock filly is out of Charge Forward mare Response, whose career highlights included victories in the Gr1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes & Gr1 Robert Sangster Stakes. Grandam Live It Up was runner-up in the Gr1 Flight Stakes. A $1,050,000 purchase by China Horse Club, Alter Call's debut will be closely watched by Japan's Katsumi Yoshida, who invested $1.5 million at last year's Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale to acquire Response, in-foal to Arrowfield Stud stallion Snitzel.
