French Fern Wins Gr2 Reisling Stakes

At Royal Randwick in Sydney, French 2000 Guineas & French Derby winner Lope De Vega (Shamardal-Lady Vettori, by Vettori) added a Group success when 2YO filly French Fern (Lope de Vega-La Famelia, by Strategic) scored by 0.8-length for trainer David Payne in the $300,000 Gr2 Reisling Stakes (1200m) for 2YO fillies, over fellow fillies Quick Feet (Northern Meteor-Delaluna, by Strategic) & Moqueen (Uncle Mo-Money Begets Money, by Bite the Bullet). French Fern, who was a $20,000 purchase by Payne Racing at the 2014 Magic Millions Patinack Farm Dispersal Sale, took her record to 2 wins and 1 placing from 3 starts for $259,100 earnings.
