Kiss And Make Up Wins Gr2 Todman Stakes
At Royal Randwick in Sydney, Vinery shuttler More Than Ready (Southern Halo-Woodman's Girl, by Woodman) added a Group success when 2YO colt Kiss And Make Up (More Than Ready-Fashions Afield, by Redoute's Choice) scored by 2.3-lengths for trainer Gai Waterhouse in the $300,000 Gr2 Todman Stakes (1200m) for 2YO c&g, over fellow 2YO colts Capitalist (Written Tycoon-Kitalpha, by Fusaichi Pegasus) & Weatherly (Beneteau-Luna Bella, by Stravinsky). Bred by John Singleton's Strawberry Hill Stud, Kiss And Make Up is out of the dual Gr1 winning filly Fashions Afield and was purchased by Waterhouse Racing for $150,000 at the 2015 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale. Trainer Gai Waterhouse confirmed that Kiss And Make Up would have his next start in the $3.5 million Gr1 Golden Slipper (1200m) at Rosehill on 19 March. "He is a cool dude and it is very exciting," Waterhouse told Sky Racing. "I am absolutely thrilled for the group, he is a beautiful colt and he did it so easily." She added "On to the Slipper."
