Hot Dipped Arrives For Group Test

Wednesday, 9th March 2016

Boom Tasmanian filly Hot Dipped (Written Tycoon-Galvanized, by Rubiton) arrived in Melbourne yesterday ahead of her mainland debut in Saturday's Gr2 Sires' Produce Stakes (1400m) at Flemington, reports racenet. A $33,000 purchase at last year's Magic Millions Tasmanian Yearling Sale, Hot Dipped extended her unbeaten record to three when scoring a brilliant 2.5-length win in the Listed Gold Sovereign Stakes (1200m) at Launceston last month. "She travelled pretty well because she’s a very relaxed filly,” trainer and part-owner Brendan McShane said. "She galloped yesterday [Monday]. It was a very easy piece of work over 600 metres. She showed us that she really didn’t need it but the idea to give her an easy one [gallop] was a good idea." He added: "She’s tight and she’s ready to go so she could have gone into the race without a gallop.”
