Heroic Valour Plans To Be Finalised
Unbeaten Kiwi colt Heroic Valour (Fastnet Rock-Myrrh, by Nassipour) is likely to have his next start in the Gr1 Manawatu Sires' Produce Stakes at Awapuni on 2 April, reports theinformant.co.nz. The Australian-bred son of Fastnet Rock - who is a half-brother to Gr1 Doncaster Handicap winner Triple Honour - extended his record to 3 wins from as many starts when scoring an impressive win in last weekend's Gr1 Diamond Stakes (1200m) at Ellerslie. Co-trainer Stephen Autridge said Heroic Valour had come through Saturday's race in terrific order. "He's really well," Autridge said. "The horse has plenty of ability and is still learning, which is pretty exciting." Although Te Akau Racing principal David Ellis indicated on his website that the Manawatu Sires' was likely to be Heroic Valour's next assignment, Autridge said a final decision would not be made until Thursday. "We're just going to go quiet for a few days and see how he's doing, and then Jamie (Richards, co-trainer) and I will meet with David Ellis on Thursday and make a decision," he said. "At this stage there's no reason why we can't carry on to Awapuni, but we'll just give it a few days and then have a look at them and decide what to do."
