Magic Millions Adelaide Day-1: Huge Increases Recorded Across The Board

Tuesday, 15th March 2016

Day One of the Magic Millions Adelaide Yearling Sale closed with a gross of $3,865,500, average price of $51,540 and median price of $40,000 - those three figures rose massively on last year's opening session with increases of 65%, 47% and 60% respectively. The clearance rate was also higher than 2015 and finished at 82 per cent during a day in which seven yearlings sold for $100,000 or more. "It's been the most amazing start to a sale in a very long time," Magic Millions Managing Director Vin Cox said. "The numbers are well up - around 50 per cent up already, which is just spectacular." He added: "Hopefully we can hold the numbers for tomorrow and we're really looking forward to getting into it tomorrow." Day Two of the Magic Millions Adelaide Yearling Sale will be held from 10am (SA time) today.
