The United States advanced his record to 6 wins (including the Gr3 Moonee Valley Gold Cup & Gr3 Kilternan Stakes) and 4 placings from 16 starts for $834521 earnings. Owner Nick Williams confirmed that The United States will now head to the spelling paddock and be set for the Gr1 Cox Plate in the spring. "He will be in the paddock on Monday and off the strength of that I would suggest he will be on a Cox Plate campaign," he told Sky Racing.
