Dukedom Sold To Hong Kong

Thursday, 24th March 2016

Gr1 Levin Classic winner Dukedom (Bachelor Duke-Bianca Bay, by Bianconi) has been sold to Hong Kong, reports theinformant.co.nz. The sale to clients of Hong Kong trainer Dennis Yip was confirmed yesterday by owners David and Steven Cole. Dukedom will enter quarantine today with his long term goal being next year's Hong Kong Derby. "He's been a wonderful horse to have in the stable, to think he gave me a Group One win so early in my career," Cole said. "But the reality is that we couldn't turn down the money being offered, it was simply too good to refuse." He added: "He suffered a hamstring injury that meant we had to miss the Derby [New Zealand Derby], but he's made a full recovery."
