Sires' Confirmed For Heroic Valour

Thursday, 24th March 2016

Te Akau Racing have confirmed that unbeaten colt Heroic Valour (Fastnet Rock-Myrrh, by Nassipour) will make his next appearance in the Gr1 Manawatu Sires' Produce Stakes on 2 April, reports NZ Racing Desk. The Australian-bred son of Fastnet Rock, who is a half-brother to Gr1 Doncaster Handicap winner Triple Honour, extended his unbeaten record to three when scoring a last stride victory in the Gr1 Diamond Stakes (1200m) at Ellerslie last start. If he can double his Gr1 tally in the Sires' Produce, it will almost certainly secure him champion 2YO honours. "He's definitely heading toward Awapuni," said Stephen Autridge who prepares Heroic Valour with Jamie Richards. "We wanted to make sure he came through his last run 110 percent, which he has, and we've kept him ticking over." He added: "Obviously he's still doing plenty wrong and he's still learning, but he's still winning. He's a very, very smart colt."
