Once In A Lifetime Opportunity For Sky Racecallers

Wednesday, 30th March 2016

Racecallers James Tait and Luke Marlow will have the opportunity to showcase their talent on two of the biggest days on the Australian racing calendar at Royal Randwick. Tait will call the Country Championships Final on Day 1 of The Championships this Saturday, 2 April, while Marlow will call the Provincial Championships Final on Day 2 of The Championships on 9 April. Sky Racing selected the racecallers in conjunction with the Australian Turf Club. The calls will be broadcast around Australia on Sky Racing and Sky Sports Radio. Sky Racing Supervising Producer, Andrew Bensley said The Championships present some of the best Australian racing and is thrilled to offer the opportunity to call races on the big stage to two worthy callers. “Sky Racing is proud to foster racing broadcasting talent and it’s great to see how excited both Luke and James are about the opportunity,” Bensley said. “They are both talented and passionate racecallers and I’m looking forward to hearing their respective calls on the big stage.” Marlow can’t wait for the opportunity. “It will be a childhood dream realised to call a race at Randwick on such a big day and I'm so thankful for the opportunity,” he said. Tait said he is thrilled to be part of one of the great days of racing. “The Country Championships Final will see 16 runners from all over country NSW do battle at one of the great racetracks of the world in Royal Randwick. It’s a very exciting opportunity,” Tait said. Viewers can catch all the action of The Championships direct from Royal Randwick on Sky Thoroughbred Central (FOXTEL Channel 521).
