First Female Winner For Frankel
Frankel improved his strike rate for his 2YOs this season to two winners from three runners when his daughter Queen Kindly scored a brilliant 5-length victory at Catterick on Friday, reports bloodstock.racingpost.com. Trained by Richard Fahey for Jaber Abdullah, Queen Kindly was the first filly born by Frankel when she was foaled on 14 January, 2014. Fittingly, she is also his first female offspring to hit the track. Queen Kindly is out of the Rahy mare Lady Of The Desert, a dual Gr2 winner of the Lowther Stakes & Diadem Stakes, and thrice Gr1 placed in the Cheveley Park Stakes, Haydock Sprint Cup & Prix de l'Abbaye. Lady Of The Desert, in turn, is a daughter of Gr1 Cheveley Park Stakes winner Queen's Logic, a half-sister to European Horse of the Year and 6-time Gr1-winner Dylan Thomas, English 1,000 Guineas winner Homecoming Queen, and English Oaks runner-up Remember When. Frankel's other winner is the John Gosden-trained Cunco who is expected to make his next appearance in the Listed Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot. Trained by the late Sir Henry Cecil, Frankel was unbeaten in 14 starts, winning ten Gr1 races and finishing his racing career with a phenomenal Timeform Rating of 147, the highest in history. He stands at Juddmonte's Banstead Manor Stud near Newmarket at a fee of £125,000.
