Galileo Adds Ireland Black-Type

Monday, 6th June 2016

At Leopardstown in Ireland, former Coolmore shuttler and triple Gr1-winning champion European sire Galileo (Sadler's Wells-Urban Sea, by Miswaki) added a black-type success when 4YO entire Order Of St George (Galileo-Another Storm, by Gone West) scored by 4.5-lengths for trainer Aidan O'Brien in the Listed Saval Beg Stakes (14 furlongs) for 3YO+, over 4YO mare Fact Or Folklore (Lope de Vega-Iuturna, by Intidab) & 6YO gelding Modem (Motivator -Alashaan, by Darshaan). This was an impressive return by Order Of St George who improved his record to 5 wins (including the Gr1 Irish St Leger & Gr3 Irish St Leger Trial) and 3 placings from 10 starts for €236,326 earnings. Order Of St George, who was one of three horses Nick and Lloyd Williams  purchased a share in last September, along with Ballydoyle stable-mates Bondi Beach and Kingfisher, is being aimed at the Gr1 Gold Cup at Royal Ascot on 16 June.
