French Winner For Lonhro

Thursday, 9th June 2016

Former champion Australian sire Lonhro (Octagonal) produced an impressive debut winner in France on Tuesday when 2YO colt Harcourt Street saluted at Saint-Cloud. Carrying the royal blue silks of Godolphin for trainer Andre Fabre, the striking grey colt showed a good turn of foot to score an easy 2-length win in the Prix Kefalin over 1200 metres. A homebred for Darley Stud, Harcourt Street is the second foal to race from the Daylami mare Heart's Content who has also produced stakes-winning and Gr3-placed German galloper Heartily. Harcourt Street is a direct descendant of outstanding producer Fall Aspen, ancestress of successful sires Bianconi, Fort Wood, Timber Country and Hamas, as well as Gr1 winners Elnadim, Mehthaaf, Irish Lights and the great Dubai Millennium.
