Frankel Train Rolls On To Royal Ascot
With history proving that many exceptional racehorses, with or without a concomitant pedigree, flatter only to deceive when sent to stud, most of the racing world has waited with baited breath to see the first progeny by Frankel, the world's highest rated racehorse – ever. From five runners to date he's had four winners, each of which looks promising. And, now, two of those will be give another chance to shine, as their illustrious sire did, at Royal Ascot this week. Cunco and Queen Kindly are both a strong chance to line up during the week long extravaganza, while last week's Haydock winner Fair Eva who meandered home by 4-lengths in a hack canter, is already being quoted to win next May's Gr1 1000 Guineas. Ominously, according to theguardian.com, Khalid Abdullah's racing manager Lord Grimthorpe, who managed the racing career of Frankel, believes the better Frankels won't be seen until stepped up in distance in time to come.
