Tuesday, 14th June 2016

At Belmont Park in the US, leading 4YO entire Frosted (Tapit-Fast Cookie, by Deputy Minister) added to the plaudits for his leading North American sire Tapit when scoring by an eye-boggling 14.25-lengths for trainer Kiaran McLaughlin in the US$1.25 million Gr1 Metropolitan Handicap (8 furlongs) for 3YOs+, over 5YO entire Anchor Down (Tapit-Successful Outlook, by Orientate) & fellow 4YO entire Upstart (Flatter-Party Silks, by Touch Gold). The win, Frosted's second in elite company, took his record to 5 wins (also including the Gr1 Wood Memorial at Aqueduct, Gr2 Pennsylvania Derby & Dubai's Gr2 Al Maktoum Challenge Round 2) & 7 placings (including the Gr1 Belmont Stakes & Gr1 Travers Stakes) from 15 starts. In his most recent start Frosted finished close up in the Gr1 Dubai World Cup, as he did in the Gr1 Kentucky Derby.
