Ghisoni To Miss Tiara

Wednesday, 15th June 2016

Highly talented filly Ghisoni (Lonhro-Portillo, by Red Ransom) will miss the Gr1 Tattersall's Tiara at Eagle Farm on Saturday week. Godolphin's assistant trainer Darren Beadman confirmed that Ghisoni will be spelled and aimed at the spring following her disappointing fifth placing (beaten 2.3 lengths) in last Saturday's Gr2 Dane Ripper Stakes. "John [trainer John O'Shea] just felt she is probably looking for the paddock," Beadman said. "He just felt another couple of weeks going into this race [Tatts Tiara] wouldn't help her out going into the spring." Beadman added: "There are a multitude of races she could target in the spring and it just all depends how she comes back from the spell." Ghisoni, who hails from the family of Snowland, Snippetson, and Vinery's European Champion 2YO Myboycharlie, has won 4 of her 7 starts highlighted by a win in the Gr2 Surround Stakes in the autumn.
