Jet Setting Tops Goffs London Sale At 1.3 Million Pounds
Irish 1,000 Guineas winner Jet Setting (Fast Company-Mean Lae, by Johannesburg) topped the Goffs London Sale at The Orangery at Kensington Palace on Monday when selling for £1.3 million to The China Horse Club, reports bloodstock.racingpost.com. The 3YO daughter of Fast Company - who was purchased for just €7,000 as a Goffs November weanling prior to being sold for 12,000 guineas at the Tattersalls Horses-in-Training Sale - is expected to remain in the stable of young trainer Adrian Keatley. "She's a Classic winner," said Michael Wallace of The China Horse Club. "There's very few of them around and her form has stacked up very well. She's a game filly, she's sound and very athletic. Fillies of that quality are highly sought after by anybody." Wallace added: "Part of our philosophy is looking for long-term breeding opportunity, she allows us that but she also has potential racing upside." Jet Setting could provide an immediate return for her new owners when runs as the 9-4 favourite in Friday's Gr1 Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot.
